the artistry of an italian pastry made-over for american halloween is this little "bignet" french-inspired italian staple that i found enlongated and dotted with eyes with its traditional blob of icing on top transformed into mummy wrappings and its usual cream filling gorified with some strawberry 'guts'...so charming were these little beady-eyed critters that i had to celebrate the smile they put on my america-nostalgic inner-little girl's halloween-hungry face!
