cabbage tulips

i think this is a precursor, or a teaser, of the season of flowers to come, and i had to do a double-take when walking past a vegetable vendor's narrow shop when instead of an eggplant or tomato i saw what looked like giant dutch blooms all pastel-easter-like and equally lush and delicate.
